Drone Fishing

Drone Fishing

Welcome friends! Let's tackle drone and surfcasting fishing together.

Using a Drone for fishing is a great help to maximize the experience and increase the success rate.

There are many "flying" solutions but not all are suitable for marine conditions and I am not talking about water only but the worst mix that can be found on the shoreline SALT + SAND + WATER, yes this mix if you do not fly with an ideal instrument is able to take out your electronics in the blink of an eye! There are many drones that are optimized for the purpose but do not allow errors by the pilot, what if the mistake happens? then open the first bin and throw away the drone and radio control as recovering the electronics compromised by the salt is practically an impossible task.

Returning to us, using a fishing drone and I mean real fishing puts you safe from the water problem, saltiness and all those small mistakes that can be made during flight, first of all the fishing drone par excellence is watertight with studied electronics specifically for full compatibility with the marine environment, it must be "self-floating" or if a wave overturns it, the drone repositions itself in complete autonomy in the take-off attitude, clearly it must float and be more at ease in the water than on the mainland, must have a good flight autonomy of about "20 minutes" always beware of promises of eternal batteries as the duration is influenced by external agents, temperature and kg transported ..., 20 minutes is an excellent goal, and finally be equipped with a good terminal release that allows you to release the lure at your favorite spot.

Drones of this type have and must have excellent stabilization as the wind often turns out to be very strong and having a drone that does not go for a walk when stopped is certainly not ideal.

The maintenance and accuracy of its use are decisive on the life of our drone, always remember that we are talking about electronics so it must be kept tidy and clean, the silicone sealing joints must always be clean, even a minimum amount of sand compromises its impermeability, the batteries when not in use must always be "stored" to prevent them from swelling, and once finished using a nice rinse with fresh water will certainly do them good!

And the camera ?; the answer is but do you really need it? as personally when I go fishing the camera I do not use it unless I have to see the feeds or have to have references to return to the shore, but since the drone returns to the shore by itself the camera for "Fishing" use is of little use and on top of that it consumes much more battery! Then if it were a whim vs well then it is right that you take it off ...

1,5km max distance is not enough for you? but do you have 1,5km on the reel? and in case there were any doubts up to what distance you arrive with your sight ..., with 12/10 at 250m you no longer see anything, so you often take off and you always make the drone go straight by checking the distance on the radio and arrived at 300m you leave the terminal and go back to shore.

Undoubtedly the tool is very effective and maximizes the results as it allows you to reach distances that are impossible with a simple throw.

Piloting a fishing drone is not difficult but to refine the technique we always recommend playing with it for a few days in less frequented places and then going fishing, we remind you that this is not a toy so it must be used with criteria and intelligence (for this reason we recommend always to take a small insurance that with a negligible annual expense protects you from any accidents along the way ...)
